Rates & Requirements
Becoming a pilot is simple. According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) you must be at least 16 years of age for a student certificate and 17 years of age to obtain your pilots license. You must be able to read and write English and pass a FAA medical exam. That is it!
Once you get started Kern Charter has a Renters Agreement you will be presented and prior to any solo flights, you will need to obtain renters insurance.
Training through Kern Charter is on a one-on-one basis with your instructor. This allows for variances in your personal learning. In today's market, the majority of students obtain their license in four months or approximately 60-70 logged hours. The average total cost will total $10,000.00 - $14,000.00 depending on your chosen aircraft. Financing is available and Kern Charter is happy to work with you by offering pay as you go payments.
